About the decathlon:

The decathlon is a combined event in athletics that comprises ten track and field disciplines: the 100-metre dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400-metre run, 110-metre hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and the 1500-metre run. Performance in each event is measured through a points system rather than positioning. The overall victor is determined by the player who accumulates the highest total points.

The title of "World's Greatest Athlete" is traditionally awarded to the individual who excels in the decathlon.
